The advice is to often spray the leather bag with a dirt- and water-repellent spray for all reading types. This is very important to protect your leather.
Are there some spots due to use? You can often remove this with a clean damp cloth with a little soap and water. Try to avoid the hardware. After this, dry the bag again and when it is completely dry, it can be sprayed again.
Be careful with light colors and dark (wet) clothing. This will always give off, regardless of brand or article. Be especially careful with a light bag and a dark denim jacket or pants!
